About halfway to the underground river you will come across a hut. Empty your inventory and re-equip your party with the best possible equipment. Keep going south to find the entrance to the underground river. As with most areas, the difficulty increases with every level that you get to. The monsters here are not that much more difficult than the last batch, but they can swarm you, especially since they are camouflaged. These are tiny, frog-like creatures that have to hop in close to hit you. Just look out for these three monsters in the water since they are almost invisible when swimming in it. The weird crystal monsters are perhaps the most annoying of all the monsters encountered so far - they like to hide in the crystal patches and they force you to chase them down when you start targeting them (just take them out before they have a chance to move - they are that weak). The only other enemy in the first area is a sole Syrrus, a water worm that pops out of the ground and attacks you with a breath weapon. ![]() The later parts of the underground river are populated by the Trogs. There are three kinds of Trogs that you will fight - Warriors, Knights, and regular ones. ![]() There are also two new additions to the ranks of the frog creatures - Dark Casters and Slingers. They share the properties of all their past counterparts and are nothing new for you. Get accustomed to sniffing out the denizens of the river, as well as spotting them in the water. If you get used to spotting creatures in the water here then you shouldnt have many problems doing it later on in this dungeon. Once you come up to a waterfall you have entered Trog territory. Follow the southern passage as it winds around and brings you to a long walkway with sheer drops on either side of you. Two new kinds of enemies are introduced to you on these walkways - the Skick and the Stalagnids. The Skick are four-armed monstrosities that move kind of fast for their size. The Stalagnids are spiders that have a rocky carapace, making them look like stalagmites. Follow that new catwalk until you get to a junction after a very narrow walkway. Here youll encounter some Spike Maws, squat creatures that fire the spikes atop their heads at you.
